Lazio defensive midfielder Danilo Cataldi is on the verge of signing a contract extension at the club. The Biancocelesti want to keep hold of the 28-year-old, who permanently moved back to the Italian capital from Benevento in 2018.
Keeping in mind his client’s contract expiring in the summer of 2024, Cataldi’s agent arranged talks with president Claudio Lotito earlier in the week. The outcome reported by Corriere della Sera (via Tuttomercatoweb) is positive, with the Biancocelesti wanting to extend his stay for three further years i.e. until 2027.
